Are you sure you’re ready for your baby to arrive. Some people like to be organized. Others like not knowing what’s coming next.
Whichever camp you belong to, let’s not sugar-coat it. The first weeks, and sometimes months of being a parent can be tricky. Some mums will be sore. Some will be challenged by breastfeeding. Families can expect to be sleep deprived and out of their depth. Patience will be in short supply at times. With all that going on, trust me, you don’t want to have to be organizing anything that could have been organized earlier. It just adds unnecessary stress to an already stressful situation.
Here’s a list of things you might want to consider doing before bub arrives. Some of the suggestions are important. Others, not so much. But, all will make those first weeks of parenthood easier.
Try to organize a baby capsule by, give-or-take, around the beginning of your third trimester. Baby capsules and cars differ in shape and size, and getting the match right can involve research, especially if you have a smaller car and need to carry other passengers in the back seat.
